When most people think of whiskey, they don't usually think of Canada. However, the best Canadian whiskeys are bursting with flavor, partly due to the cooler climate, perfect for creating smooth blends, ideal for sipping neat or adding to your favorite cocktail.

Canadian whiskeys are typically smooth grain or rye blends, and these Canadian versions can rival their single malt counterparts. Rye whiskey is spicier and more robust. Whether drunk neat or mixed into a cocktail, Canadian rye whiskey has a distinctive character.

JP Willer is 18 years old

I highly recommend J.P Wiser's 18 Years to anyone looking for the best Canadian whiskey. This blend is ideal to drink with its weighted and layered flavors.

However, the Canadian Club Whiskey is a great budget alternative, while the Canadian Royal Deluxe goes perfectly with any mixed drink.

conclusion

Discovering the best Canadian whiskey has been a fascinating world of diverse flavors. Whether you're a lover of blended whiskey or prefer to sit back and sip straight, Canada has a whiskey for you.

Of course, only whiskey made in Canada can be Canadian whiskey. Also, it must have aged in oak barrels for at least three years.

The ingredients are also important. Canadian whiskey requires an alcoholic distillate made from mashed corn grain as its base and this product also has a minimum of alcohol by volume. Any drink with less than 40% alcohol by volume cannot be Canadian whiskey, even if it meets the other requirements.

In general, I found J.P. Wiser's 18 Year Old as the best whiskey Canada has to offer, so be sure to try one of these tempting blends the next time you visit your bar or shop.
